Glueball-glueball Interaction in the Context of an Effective Theory

چکیده

The gluon self-coupling in QCD implies the existence of bound states of pure gauge fields known as glueballs. Numerous technical difficulties have so far been present in our understanding of their properties in experiments, largely because glueball states can mix strongly with nearby qq̄ resonances. However recent experimental and lattice studies of 0, 2 and 0−+ glueballs seem to be convergent. In the present we follow a different approach by applying the Fock-Tani formalism in order to obtain an effective interaction between glueballs 1. A glueball-glueball crosssection can be obtained and compared with usual meson-meson cross-sections.

The Glueball Superpotential for G 2

We perform a perturbative computation of the glueball superpotential for N = 1 supersymmetric G2 gauge theory with one adjoint matter multiplet. We find that the computation simplifies because the bosonic momentum integral cancels with the fermionic momentum integral. The effective glueball superpotential allows us to gain an insight into non-perturbative aspect of the supersymmetric gauge theory.
